Last weekend saw the Mull Sevens tournament, a great excuse to indulge my other photographic passion, sports photography. Unfortunately, the day was a tad wet and windy but this didn't dampen spirits or the action. Known as the "world's most sociable sevens", the 2011 event lived up to its reputation as ever. A particular hit of the tournament was Alnwick RFC who had travelled up from Northumbria. They made the final against Stirling and I have certainly never heard the chant "our castle is better than your castle" at a rugby game before. The Mull women's team was very unlucky not to make the final but did themselves proud with some cracking tries. Here are a few shots from the day......
